Random News and Notes 17 August

As a reminder, today marks the 27th anniversary of Bill Clinton’s half-assed admittance that he banged a chubby, 22 year old White House intern in the Oval and the Butler’s pantry just off the Oval.

Clinton was impeached for lying about the affair to investigators. He was also disbarred for the same reasons.

There was an accident in Florida that took the lives of three people. A truck driver made an illegal U-turn and a minivan – unable to avoid it – slammed into the trailer. Why am I covering a way too common occurrence here at RNN? I’m glad you asked. The truck driver, Harjinder Singh, is an illegal immigrant. He crossed the border in 2018 and went to California, where the Cal DOT promptly gave him a CDL.

Yup, you read that right. He is here illegally and got a commercial drivers license from the state of California. Florida has charged him with three counts of vehicular homicide and I’m sure that the state will throw more at him to see what sticks.

I saw some commentary while researching this piece that says California may have some legal and civil liability for this. I am not a bloodsucking leech attorney so I can’t be 100% sure, but I doubt that is the case. I’m sure if it is even the remotest possibility the action will be brought.

NY AG Tish James is being investigated for mortgage fraud. Unlike the mess she tried to pull with Trump, it appears she actually did commit fraud. Well Ed Martin, the guy tasked by AG Pam Bondi to pursue the investigation made a stop by the Brooklyn brownstone at the center of the investigation.

It just warms the heart doesn’t it?

A highschool girls volleyball team in California forfeited a match this week. The Riverside Poly Bears issued a statement saying they were not going to play against the Jurupa Valley High School’s team.

The reason? Jurupa Valley has a boy on its girls volleyball team. The autoparts name is AB Hernandez and apparently AB is well known in that part of California. Or should I say notorious. Hernandez stole medals from actual girls at a big California state track meet this spring.

More of this needs to happen.
