We start in America’s Second City where the corpulent Illinois governor held a press conference. The porcineJB Pritzker was whinging about the Trump threats to send the National Guard to Chicago to help deal with the crime in that city. At one point he claimed he lived “rent-free” in Trump’s head. Ok, that’s fine and all, but maybe do it at a more appropriate location? Watch:
I dunno if that cameraman made that shot on purpose or not, but either way well done that man.
Police in Scotland arrested a 14 year old girl. Why you ask? Well, she was defending her 12 year old sister from a creeper Muslim.
We’ve come a long way from the days of William Wallace and Robert the Bruce in Scotland now haven’t we. And it isn’t a good thing.
I will admit to both not following and not caring all that much about the Cracker Barrel rebrand. I always think these things are a tempest in a teapot and only really offend a very vocal minority. In the case of Cracker Barrel specifically, I don’t think the new logo is all that bad from a visual POV and as someone who works with web design I can see why they changed. It seems I may be one of the few this time however. Even President Trump has weighed in on the kerfuffle.
Who knows, maybe he’s right. Again.
This next one is a bit convoluted so strap on your thinking caps for a sec. There will be a Miss Palestine in the Miss Universe pageant this year. It is the first time that there is a contestant from a territory that no serious country recognizes as a country. Odd enough right? Well, it gets odder. That contestant – Nadeen Ayoub – was born in the US to an Egyptian father and Italian mother, raised in Canada and currently lives in Dubai.
According to the little data I can find on her, she hasn’t ever been to ‘Palestine’. Worse, it seems she is the president and founder of the Miss Palestine Organization. There is no record there having being a Miss Palestine pageant, never mind Ayoub winning it.
I told you about the mortgage fraud Fed governor Lisa Cook committed allegedly and that her case had been referred for prosecution a couple of days ago. In that report, I mentioned the President was thinking about firing her over it. Well, he pulled the trigger.
. . . mortgage fraud?
I am not sure this is going to stick in the short term. While SCOTUS has given some pretty clear signals that it is going to remove some protections from quasi-independent executive agencies there have not been actual rulings on the subject. You can be sure Cook will venue shop to find the judge most amenable to her claims.
