Random News and Notes 29 August

We’ve talked about Fed governor Lisa Cook, her alleged mortgage fraud and President Trump firing her a couple of times now. Well, there is more news on that front. Bill Pulte has just made another criminal referral regarding a separate incident(s) of mortgage fraud. This time the alleged offenses took place while she was a member of the Fed.

Of all the sound and fury coming out of Cook’s camp, we have not heard one thing: a denial. Nor has there been a statement from Jerome Powell defending Cook. Cook is cooked, it’s just a matter of when.

Former Vice Presidents get a statutorily authorized 6 months of Secret Service protections after they leave office. That can be extended by either the serving President of the DHS secretary.

Just before leaving office, the Autopen authorized extended USSS protections for Kamala Harris. Her 6 month period should have ended in July but they had been extended. How long? Apparently for a year, but the Biden admin hid the authorization. Regardless, President Trump just ended them.

Her aides are playing the race card over the cancellations, because of course they are. I suppose I should note that the cancellation comes just as Harris is about to embark on her book tour. Oh well.

I have been avoiding any coverage of the horrific events in Minneapolis here at RNN. This Editor has to be discerning about what he chooses to pollute his brain with. There is only so much bandwidth to deal with that kind of act, and if he consumes too much of that stuff, it starts to have negative effects. So, know that when you do not see items from certain really bad events – like what happened in Minnesota the other day – it is an effort to preserve some semblance of sanity.

Now that you got the trauma dump, on with the story out of Minneapolis. The mother of the subhuman trash that shot up a church full of kids has gotten herself a criminal defense attorney. She is also refusing to cooperate with investigators.

Mary Grace Westman applied for her son to change his name in 2019, according to court documents, which said the “minor identifies as female and wants her name to reflect the identification.”

How much do you want to bet that AWFL (that is Affluent White Female Liberal for those who don’t know) pushed the tranny thing on her kid? If that is true, she sure as fuck deserves to face charges over it.

Here’s a bit of Israel-adjacent world news. The UN has announced the end of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon. UNFIL was initially spun up to ensure ceasefires held in the wake of the 1978 South Lebanon conflict. Codenamed Operation Litani by the Israelis, the conflict started after repeated incursions by the PLO, then based in Southern Lebanon.

As the post above says, UNFIL was mostly a failure. There is ample proof that UNFIL troops actively colluded with both PLO and Hezbollah terrorists over the last 50 years. When it was not aiding the terrorists, it was completely ineffectual at doing what it was mandated to do.
