Random News and Notes 18 September

We start today’s edition of RNN with a hearty Happy Birthday to our second youngest Service, the United States Air Force. Prior to the enactment of the National Security Act of 1947, the air forces were part of the US Army. When the first Secretary of the Air Force, W. Stuart Symington, was sworn in on 18 Sept 1947 the Air Force was established as a separate entity.

The Air Force, at 78, was the youngest of our uniformed services until 2019 when the Space Force was spawned.

Happy Birthday Chair Force!!!!!

And now on to the news of the last 24 hours.

5 cops were shot – 3 fatally – in York county PA yesterday shortly after that day’s edition of RNN was put to bed. It is looking like the cops were there to serve a warrant when the shooting started. The shooter did not survive.

It is being reported that the warrant was related to a domestic incident from Tuesday.

An immigration judge in Louisiana has ordered Mahmoud Khalil deported to either Syria or Algeria. You will recall that Khalil was the leader of pro-hamas riots at Columbia University this summer.

The immigration judge, Jamee Comans, found that Khalil lied on his immigration forms when he applied for permanent residency.

Why Syria or Algeria? Khalil is a Syrian with Algerian citizenship.

I told you about President Trump’s historic 2nd State visit to the UK yesterday. Well, today he got to work. Trump met with British PM Keir Starmer to discuss trade and security issues. Starmer was hoping to get tariff rates on British steel and aluminum reduced. He was disappointed.

The pair did sign a MOU (memorandum of understanding) about tech investments and cooperation.

Frankly, I think Starmer screwed up a golden opportunity here. When Trump arrived in the UK yesterday, Starmer snubbed him by only sending one minor official to greet his plane. That was not missed by Trump or the King. I also expect that Marco Rubio had some very harsh words with his counterparts about the Online Safety act which purports to be able to fine US companies for violations outside of the UK.

There was a vote in the House of Representatives to censure Ilhan Omar – C, Mogadishu – for comments she made about Charlie Kirk’s assassination. The censure would have removed her from her committee posts. Well, that vote failed 214-213. Why? Because 4 spineless shitbag RINOUK ‘republicans’ voted with the Dems to block the censure.

So, who were they? Mike Flood (NE), Jeff Hurd (CO), Cory Mills (FL), and Tom McClintock (CA). It’s being reported that all 4 voted the way they did on 1st Amendment grounds. They are all cowards hiding behind the Constitution when it suits them. If you or anyone you know is represented by one of these shtbags, call their offices and politely let them know they are shitbags and you will be voting for someone else next time.

Now on to the firings of the ghouls and freaks who have bad takes about the assassination of Charlie Kirk. There was a big one yesterday. Jimmy Kimmel was pulled off the air by ABC in the wake of his outright lies about the killer.

This one isn’t as clear cut as you might think. ABC didn’t just decide to do the right thing. It took pressure from two of the largest ABC affiliate companies, Sinclair and Nexstar. Between the two, they own more than 60 ABC stations. Both companies said they were pulling Kimmel’s show immediately.

As usual, the left has their knickers in a twist over this. The claims of 1st Amendment and censorship are flying. It’s too bad the companies involved are private entities and not the Government.

The fact is, Kimmel has bad ratings, and was consistently at the bottom of his time slot. Much like Colbert, his show is hemorrhaging money. The loss of the Nexstar and Sinclair stations were just the final nail.

Erika Kirk has been selected by the board of TPUSA to take over for her husband Charlie. The vote was unanimous.
