Random News and Notes 23 September

President Trump addressed the UN general assembly today. Among the many topics he broached in his speech was illegal immigration. He took a direct shot at European inaction on illegal immigration

I expect much beating of breasts and gnashing of teeth over the speech. What I have seen of it is not the usual UN pablum wrapped in diplomatic niceties.

In case you missed this particular item, Jimmy Kimmel will return to late night tv tonight. The time-out ABC gave him is apparently over. It is not all skittles and beer for Kimmel though. Sinclair, the largest single owner of ABC affiliates will not be airing Kimmel’s show.

Sinclair owns 38 of the 242 ABC stations including those in key markets like DC, Seattle and Portland.

I am not one for boycotts and the like. Most conservatives aren’t. But in this case, I will make an exception. If your local ABC affiliate plans on airing Kimmel, give them and their advertisers a call and let them know what you think.

**UPDATE** Literally seconds before I was set to publish this piece, more news on Kimmel crossed the transom. Nexstar Media Group, the 2nd largest ABC affiliate owner with 33 stations, has announced they will continue to preempt the show.

A while back there was a piece about the global sumud flotilla. You know the one, the Gaza ‘aid’ thing with the Doom Pixie, Greta Thunberg aboard, kinda. Well, there is more trouble on Selfie Cruise 2.0. It seems the Islamists have an issue with the homos and queers.

. . . Gaza.
According to Le Courrier de l’Atlas, a French-language magazine covering Maghreb affairs, local GSF coordinator Khaled Boujemâa announced his resignation on September 16. He stepped down in protest over the inclusion of LGBTQ activists in the flotilla, among them Saif Ayadi, who identifies as a queer activist.
Other figures, including activist Mariem Meftah and television presenter Samir Elwafi, also condemned what they saw as an effort to impose a progressive cultural agenda unrelated to the Palestinian cause. They described this as “a red line crossed” and an attack on “societal values.”

Meftah stressed that such activism is seen as incompatible with Islamic beliefs and warned against exploiting “the sacred cause of Al-Aqsa” to advance unrelated agendas.
The internal disagreements have also reportedly led Greta Thunberg to step down from the flotilla’s leadership, though she will remain involved as both an organizer and a participant.

I feel like I’ve said this, or something similar, before: the LGBTQ who support Hamas are just useful idiots. Whether they do not know that Islamists – no not just islamists, regular muslims – chuck homos off roofs or that they don’t believe they would get tossed into the sweet by-and-by is beyond my ken.

President Trump has declared Antifa a domestic terror organization. The proclamation was signed yesterday.

. . . Section 1. Antifa as a Terrorist Threat.  Antifa is amilitarist, anarchist enterprise that explicitly calls for the overthrow of the United States Government, law enforcement authorities, and our system of law.  It uses illegal means to organize and execute a campaign of violence and terrorism nationwide to accomplish these goals.  This campaign involves coordinated efforts to obstruct enforcement of Federal laws through armed standoffs with law enforcement, organized riots, violent assaults on Immigration and Customs Enforcement and other law enforcement officers, and routine doxing of and other threats against political figures and activists. Antifa recruits, trains, and radicalizes young Americans to engage in this violence and suppression of political activity, then employs elaborate means and mechanisms to shield the identities of its operatives, conceal its funding sources and operations in an effort to frustrate law enforcement, and recruit additional members.  Individuals associated with and acting on behalf of Antifa further coordinate with other organizations and entities for the purpose of spreading, fomenting, and advancing political violence and suppressing lawful political speech.  This organized effort designed to achieve policy objectives by coercion and intimidation is domestic terrorism.
Sec. 2. Designation as a Domestic Terrorist Organization.  Because of the aforementioned pattern of political violence designed to suppress lawful political activity and obstruct the rule of law, I hereby designate Antifa as a “domestic terrorist organization.” All relevant executive departments and agencies shall utilize all applicable authorities to investigate, disrupt, and dismantle any and all illegal operations –especially those involving terrorist actions — conducted by Antifa or any person claiming to act on behalf of Antifa, or for which Antifa or any person claiming to act on behalf of Antifa provided material support, including necessary investigatory and prosecutorial actions against those who fund such operations.
Sec. 3. General Provisions. (a)  This order shall be implemented consistent with applicable law. This order is not intended to, and does not, create any right or benefit, substantive or procedural, enforceable at law or in equity by any party against the United States, its departments, agencies, or entities, its officers, employees, or agents, or any other person.
(b)  This order shall be published in the Federal Register.
DONALD J. TRUMP
THE WHITE HOUSE,
September 22, 2025.

What does it mean? This order will allow the FBI, DOJ and any other federal investigatory agency to target Antifa cells and more importantly, those providing financial and other support.

Cut off the financing and you cut the head off the snake.

The US has a new #1 beer. Mexican brand Modelo has been dethroned as the best selling beer in the US. It took over the top spot after Bud light imploded with its autoparts ad featuring Dylan Mulvaney. Now, Michelob Ultra has taken the top spot.

Mich Ultra isn’t beer, it is yellow-ish water. While Modelo may taste like Chihuahua piss, it is still actual beer. Anyway, have a song about beer:
