Random News and Notes 29 September

There is more information now about the attack in the LDS church in Michigan. The attacker rammed the church with his truck, opened fire and set a fire that consumed the church. As of this writing there are at least 4 dead – two shot and two found in the burned wreckage of the church – with 10 more shot. There are also an unknown number of parishioners who were believed to be in the church who are currently unaccounted for.

While it is still early in the investigation, it appears the shooter had a hatred for Mormons. We will no doubt learn more in the coming days.

There was another shooting this weekend. It got overshadowed by the horrific events in Grand Blanc. A shooter opened fire at a restaurant in Southport, North Carolina. Three were killed and at least eight injured when the shooter pulled up outside the waterfront American Fish Company and started firing. The restaurant is located in the Southport yacht basin on the Intracostal waterway. The shooter was caught at a public boat launch. He was arrested and charged – for now – with 3 counts of 1st degree murder and 5 counts of 1st degree attempted murder.

The background of the shooter is somewhat remarkable, though it looks like he is in the midst of some kind of psychotic break. Again, early days in this investigation. We will keep you updated.

The NYC mayoral race has one less candidate. Current mayor Eric Adams has announced he is dropping out.

That leaves the commie Mandami, former NY governor Andy Cuomo and the lone R Curtis Sliwa. Frankly, and I’ve said this before, Sliwa needs to drop out. In head to head polling, Cuomo is the only one with a chance to beat the commie.

There is just something about parts of the current timeline that amuse me. The fact that we have government agencies shitpoasting on social media is one of those parts.

DHS seems to be the one agency that is really leaning into it. They have a whole series of posts comparing catching illegals to catching Pokemon.
