Random News and Notes 9 September

We start today’s edition of RNN in Qatar where Israeli strikes have taken out most of the rest of the Hamas leadership.

This strike comes a day after Hamas rejected the latest US backed ceasefire agreement despite a very specific warning from President Trump. It seems that after the Hamas rejection, Trump gave Bibi the green light for this op. I am also seeing RUMINT that the Qataris gave their ok too, but that is less clear.

According to reports, the entire exile leadership of Hamas had gathered in one place to discuss the ceasefire proposals. The Israelis then struck the building killing them all. Among those killed:

Khalil al-Hayya, Deputy political leader and Gaza operations chief; top negotiator for ceasefire and hostage deals,
Khaled Mashal (Khaled Meshaal), Former overall political leader; chairman of Hamas’s consultative council
Zaher Jabarin, West Bank leader
Mohammad Ismail Darwish (Abu Omar Hassan), Chairman of Hamas’s consultative council
Mousa Abu Marzouk, Co-founder and senior political official
Nizar Awadallah (or Hussam Badran in some reports), Senior political operative/spokesperson
Taher al-Nounou (or Taher al-Nano),Media and political advisor

Hope they enjoy their goats. . .

Staying in the region, it seems someone on the Doom Pixie’s magical selfie boat to Palestine tried to stage a false flag. A fire broke out on the vessel and the idiots aboard immediately blamed an Israeli drone strike. Unfortunately for them, the Tunisian authorities sunk that idea.

It turns out that someone on board set of a flare or some other pyrotechnic device in an attempt to blame the dirty JOOOOOOOOOS.

Man, fuck those people. I really truly hope that fucking boat pulls a Titanic and sinks with no survivors. Can you tell I’m done with that bullshite?

There is some good news on the various lawfare fronts. The Supremes issued a couple of stays and the 4th Circuit dismissed another case. We’ll start in the 4th Circuit, where an appellate panel dismissed a case called Maryland v USDA. In that case several states tried to sue the federal gov for firing a bunch of people from the USDA. The district judge in that case had made some odd rulings, all resistance porn, and the Trump admin appealed. Well, the 4th ruled that the states did not have standing to even bring the suit.

Now on to SCOTUS. The first case is called Noem v Perdomo. That was the case where a lib judge in the LA area enjoined ICE from doing its job via investigatory detentions.

Y’all know I read – or at least scan through – most SCOTUS decisions/opinions/rulings/dissents. All I can say about Sotomayor’s dissent is that I only got through a page and a half before I had to stop. It was that dumb.

The final win is from a case called Trump v Slaughter. It involves the President’s ability to fire members of so-called independent executive agencies. The Supremes set aside a lower court stay of the firing of Rebecca Slaughter, an FTC commissioner.

While this is an administrative move from the Court, it does signal how at least some of the Justices look on a precidential case called Humphries Executor that limited the Executives ability to fire so-called independent agency members.

I’m sure you remember the hands up, don’t shoot crap from 2014. Well, Michael Brown’s literal partner in crime and the one that started that lie/chant finally got his just desserts. Dorian Johnson was with Brown when he violently robbed a convenience store and later when Brown tried to take the gun from Darren Wilson, a Ferguson cop.

It seems his killing was related to a domestic violence incident. His killer has not been charged, so make of that what you will. Anyway, good riddance to bad rubbish.
