Random News and Notes 25 October
Yesterday’s edition of RNN told you a little about the demolition of the East Wing of the White House. Chuck Schumer, he of Shutdown Fame, has something stupid to say about it. More, he was lying about it, and not the usual lies that Pols tell, this one is a bald faced whopper.
Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt was asked about any other potential construction projects at the White House. Her answer was “At this moment in time of course, the ballroom is really the president’s main priority.” All well and good right? Not for Schmucky. He posted the quote without any context and used it as a line of attack against the President.
Too bad nobody is buying his crap this time around. Even CNN called him out on it. Daniel Dale, the failing Dem mouthpiece, err, network’s ‘fact checker’ wrote about it. The piece appeared on the front page of the CNN site.

Speaking of the new Ballroom, it is being funded by private donors. Here is a list of those who are funding it.
As the SocMed intern at Townhall notes, Comcast, the owner of MSNBC, NBC News and CNBC, donated. Keep that in mind when you hear the dolts, commies and retards on those networks kvetching about it.
In Sportsball news, the Toronto Bluejays took game one of the Fall Classic 11-4 last night in Toronto. There was a baseball first in the game. Toronto’s Addison Barger was brought in to pinch hit for Davis Schneider in the 6th inning to face LA reliever Anthony Banda with the bases loaded. Barger smashed a 2-1 off-speed pitch out to right center for the first pinch hit grand slam in World Series history.
The Slam was part of a 9 run 6th inning for the Jays. Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani got two back in the top of the 7th on a homer with Tommy Edman on base. Game 2 is tonight at 2000 EDT at Rodgers Centre.
Oh, that rookie pitcher that started for Toronto last night, Yesavage, he struck out Ohtani to start the game. He went 4 innings and gave up 2 runs.
Hurricane Melissa is about to hit Jamaica as a major hurricane. It is then forecast to hit the eastern end of Cuba before heading North-East into the Atlantic.

Does it seem like there have been fewer hurricanes this year? There have been 4 hurricanes this year. Of those, Erin was the closest to the US, and that was way off the coast.
