The House of Representatives will convene today to vote on the deal to end the Schumer Shutdown. The deal puts Chuck in the hot seat. According to recent polling Schumer is the least popular Dem senate leader since at least 1985. He is underwater with Dems nationally, with a net -4% approval rating.
He has a net +16% approval rating in NY, but that isn’t going to cut it if/when Alexandria Occasional Cortex throws her hat in the ring. She’s currently sitting at +46% approval. I’m gonna have that retard for my next Senator aren’t I? FML.
This next one isn’t directly going to affect most of the readers here. There is an affordable home crisis here in the US. The average age of first time home buyers has gone from 29 in 1991 to 31 in 2010 to 40 in 2025. Additionally, the percentage of first time buyers has fallen to 21% of all home sales from 35% in 2023. The long term average % of first time buyers is ~38%.
It’s an issue. A big one. So, Fannie Mae, the federal mortgage behemoth, has come up with a solution. They are going to drop the 620 credit score requirement and institute their own criteria.

It nearly collapsed the US economy. Ditching the credit rating requirement – and the f*cking retarded 50 year mortgage idea – is going to make the 2008 financial crash look like a day at Disney.
Does something need to happen? Sure, and it’s starting. The deportations – forced and otherwise – of 40 million illegals will loosen up home supply. The reduction of interest rates will lower the all-in cost of housing here in the US as well.
The Aurora Borealis is an awe inspiring sight. You may be able to see it tonight even if you are in an area that typically doesn’t. A solar storm has pushed the visible range down to the middle of the US.

The United States Military Academy at West Point has revealed the uniforms they will wear during the 2025 edition of the Army-Navy game. The unis will honor 250 years of service.
The 126th Army-Navy game will take place at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore on 13 December.
Navy leads the all-time series with 63-55 and seven ties.
