Random News and Notes 29 November
X never fails to amaze. Just when I think I’ve seen the stupidest shit I have ever seen on that site, something even more retarded pops up. This is a little late, but it just crossed my feed this morning. Some retard on Xitter posted this:
Let’s skim over the fact that eastern tribes had semi-domesticated meleagris gallopavo long before the arrival of whites and that was why they were eaten at the first Thanksgiving. Turkeys were seen as an important food source by the indians. There was some symbolism attached to them, but they were not considered representative of the Tribes in general.
Now onto the bonnets or headdresses, at least here on the east coast, when feathers were used, they were typically raptor feathers, usually eagle. Any resemblance between turkey fans and the war bonnets of the two Indians shown – Chief Black Chicken of the Yankton Dakota and Chief Flying Hawk of the Lakota – and the turkeys show is strictly coincidental.
I mentioned the FAA NOTAM warning aviators away from flying in Venezuelan airspace a few days ago. Well President Trump has upped the ante.
Is it going to pop off in Venezuela? I dunno. As I said previously, given the US Naval buildup in the Caribbean there are/were three possible outcomes. We are closer to direct action than we are to a negotiated end or seeing the Ford CSG pulling anchor and heading back across the Atlantic.
Let’s be honest here, a negotiated end is in everyone’s best interest here. Well, maybe not Maduro and his buddies, but everyone else.
A moderate solar flare was detected yesterday The R 5.2 flare can cause issues with HF radio transmissions.
This comes on the heels of the series of flares a few weeks ago that caused the Aurora to be visible well to the south of where it can usually be seen.
