Starting with today’s musical selection, and ending on the 26th, I’ll be presenting some of my favorite Christmas songs. This week it’s I Believe in Father Christmas by Greg Lake. You may know Greg better as part of the English prog trio Emerson, Lake and Palmer. This song was one of his first solo efforts. It was recorded in 1974 and released the next year. Lyricist Peter Sinfield said that the words are about a loss of innocence and childhood belief.
