Random News and Notes 5 December

We kick off this edition of RNN in Texas (and DC) where the newly redrawn Congressional district map has been upheld by SCOTUS. The 6-3 decision reversed a lower court ruling that said the new districts were drawn for race based reasons and were illegal. The per curiam decision was short. It did take the district court to task however.  “The District Court improperly inserted itself into an active primary campaign, causing much confusion and upsetting the delicate federal-state balance in elections.

The split is the one you’d expect. the three retards dissented with Elena Kagan actually writing it. I only scanned the opinions – Alito wrote a concurrence that Kav and Thomas joined – but from the bits of the dissent I did read they got the law and the reasoning behind it wrong.

A few days ago President Trump c called Minnesota gov Tim Walz seriously retarded in a press conference. Apparently the sobriquet has spread. Walz is claiming people are driving by his house and calling him a retard.

Well, one thing is for sure, he can’t sue anyone for slander or libel over it. Truth is always an absolute defense for those kinds of suits.

Don’t mess with Tom Homan. He’s the honey badger of the Trump administration, he don’t care. A heckler tried him at a presser. It didn’t go well for the heckler. Watch:

We talked about the arrest of the J6 pipe bomber yesterday. Well, Brian Cole Jr. apparently admitted to planting the bombs to investigators. He had his first court appearance yesterday. Little is known about his motivations at this point.

And you wondered why the FBI couldn’t find him but could track down some random granny that happened to be near the entrance doors to the Capitol on J6.
