We can now add New York to the other twelve jurisdictions where medical aid in dying(MAID), (medically assisted death) is legal: California, Colorado, Delaware, the District of Columbia, Hawaii, Montana, Maine, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oregon, Vermont, and Washington. 

New York Gov. Hochul announced last week that she will sign a bill legalizing medically assisted suicide for adults with a terminal illness.
