The Oklahoma DWC SocMed team seems to be regretting their post from last week.

In case you missed it (dunno how, it was the OKDWC post in last week’s Friday Fun), they posted a pic of a staffer holding a tiny black bear cub.

I put this one with the memes, but frankly there is little humor in it. That polar bear is not being cute or friendly, it’s sizing up homie as food. Polar bears are the one species on earth that actively seek out humans as prey. The most recent confirmed fatal polar bear attack was last year in Canada, a pair of bears killed and partially ate (they were interrupted) a man working on a radar site in arctic Canada. There are reports of a more recent polar bear attack in the Krasnoyarsk region of Siberia. It seems 3 people were seriously injured by a polar bear there in early January.

Today’s musical selection comes from Hüsker Dü. The band formed in St. Paul Minnesota in the late 70s. Don’t Want to Know If You Are Lonely, from 1986’s Candy Apple Grey, was released as a single in March of that year.
