Random News and Notes 5 March

We start in Arkansas where Aaron Spencer, the father accused of killing a sex predator that he found with his missing daughter, has won the Republican primary for Sheriff of Lonoke County. Spencer, a 37-year-old Army veteran and farmer, defeated incumbent Sheriff John Staley and challenger David Bufford, taking 53% of the vote in Lonoke County’s Republican primary. His campaign focused on restoring trust in law enforcement.

Spencer is facing a second-degree murder charge for killing 67-year-old Michael Fosler. Spencer found his missing daughter with Fosler who faced dozens of felony charges including rape of a minor. Spencer has pleaded not guilty, claiming self-defense to protect his daughter. A pretrial hearing is set for March 18. Spencer is expected to win his race handily in the heavily Republican Lonoke county.

A retarded leftist – who happened to be a former Marine – decided to disrupt a Senate committee hearing. 44-year-old Brian C. McGinnis was resisting Capitol Police as they tried to remove him from the hearing room. That is when Montana Senator and Navy SeAL Tim Sheehy stepped in:

It seems McGinnes had his arm broken during the scuffle and is facing three counts of Assault on a Police Officer, as well as three counts of Resisting Arrest, and Crowding, Obstructing, and Incommoding for the unlawful demonstration.

More disruptive assholes need to have bones broken if you ask me. There was a time when the retards wouldn’t dare to do this just for that reason.

Speaking of Montana Senators, Steve Daines has announced he is not running for reelection. It was a last minute – literally – decision by Daines to drop out. He withdrew officially in the last 5 minutes that the application process was open.

Current Montana US Attorney Kurt Alme has both Daines and Trumps endorsement.

Legendary college football coach Lou Holtz has passed. Holtz was best known for leading the University of Notre Dame Fighting Irish to an undefeated 1988 national championship season. Over his storied career, he compiled a 249–132–7 record across six different programs—including Notre Dame, Arkansas, and South Carolina—earning induction into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2008 as the only coach to guide six programs to bowl games.

He passed away on March 4, 2026, at the age of 89.

Epic Fury News

There are new weapons on the horizon. CENTCOM released footage of the HELIOS directed-energy system mounted on a U.S. Navy destroyer operating off Iran’s coast, with reports indicating its use against Iranian drones in Operation Epic Fury. There has not been official confirmation that the system has been used in combat however. Take any images or video you see purporting to be HELIOS with a grain of salt.

Is the Navy using the system? Probably. Are the ‘laser beams’ visible? Probably not. There is confirmed video of the Israeli Iron Beam system in use against missile launches in Lebanon from the past few days. You cannot see the ‘beam’ despite the video being taken at night.

The U.S. Senate voted 47-53 against advancing a bipartisan resolution that would have required congressional approval for President Trump’s ongoing military campaign against Iran or directed a withdrawal of forces. Pennsylvania Democrat Sen. John Fetterman provided the decisive vote alongside Republicans, calling Operation Epic Fury essential defense after it began February 28 with strikes on nearly 2,000 Iranian targets.

Democrats argued the action violates constitutional war powers without a formal declaration, while the White House described it as peace through strength coordinated with Israel; the House takes up a similar bill Thursday.

The DOD has identified the other two soldiers killed in the drone strike on a Kuwaiti facility. They are Major Jeffrey O’Brien, 45, of Indianola IA and Chief Warrant Officer 3 Robert Marzan, 54, of Sacramento CA.

Until Valhalla.
