Congressional Behavior

Political shenanigans??? Nay, I think it far worse… I believe it borders on Political Treason!!!

1..  Recent polls show that 84% of registered Republicans and 72% percent of registered Democrats favor passing the Save America Act. Senator John Thune claims he does not have the votes to pass this piece of legislation.  Well, call for a roll call vote on the issue so we the voting populace can see who does not favor this legislation!!!  Then, if it does not pass, move to put the filibuster where those who oppose this must stand in the well and explain to the American public why this is such a bad act!!!

2..  Now the congress has decided to put forth another continuing resolution instead of a budget, even though the National Debt is approaching $39.50 trillion dollars!!!  Just how damned foolish is that???  The second President of the United States, John Adams warned that, “there was two ways to defeat a nation, one was by the sword, the second by debt”!!  Just mention the word austerity and members of congress nearly faint!!!  We commoners must budget in order to survive daily, but the members of congress seem to feel the we PEONS should be grateful to them.  My question is WHY???  Stupidity seems to rein in the hallowed halls of congress, while we the poor schlumps have to live within our means or go without!!!  Is it time to withhold congressional pay until they do what is right???  They work far fewer hours than the common folks, yet they act put upon when we ask them to DO THEIR DAMN JOB!!!

3..  One of the most egregious issues we the voting public face is the blatant lies told us by our elected officials.  We are led down the garden path by men who have NO moral compass, that they feel entitled to lie to us with impunity and often get away with it.  James Madison, fourth President of the United States penned in the federalist # 10; “men of factious tempers, of local prejudices, or sinister designs, may, by intrigue, by corruption, or by other means, first obtains the suffrages, and then betray the interests of the people”.  This unfortunately is far too often the result we see, and it is “We the People” who must bear the brunt of the fallacies and deceit of these individuals.

When you subject these three issues to the light of day, they are NOT just shenanigans but may well be deemed TREASONOUS!!!
