On this day in 1943 the Battle of Kursk began. It was the largest armored clash in history. At it’s peak, the Battle raged along a 1000 mile front. . It involved over 6,000 tanks, 2 million troops, and 5,000 aircraft.
By the time the Soviets defeated the Germans at Kursk they suffered roughly 863,000 casualties (including about 254,000 killed or missing and over 600,000 wounded). The Nazis lost 150,000 to 185,000, though early reports claimed up to 500,000.
The flowers of the Patriot Front marched in DC yesterday. I normally wouldn’t waste the pixels on them, but it was the 4th and the retard left is trying to make it a thing. They gathered near Union Station, crossed Capitol Hill with flags and drums, and rode the Metro toward the National Mall before leaving the city, led by founder Thomas Rousseau.

There were several disturbances across the country last night that are being described as “teen takeovers”. In Charleston SC, a group of urban youths decided it was a good idea to attack a female cop. The wrestled her to the ground and beat the crap out of her before backup arrived.
50 years ago, the perps would have gotten a tune-up, 100 years ago, they’d have gotten a bullet. 150 years ago, they’d have gotten a rope.
All the way over on the left coast, police in Newport Beach declared an unlawful assembly due to rowdy behavior, including crowds throwing fireworks at each other, fights and harassing mounted officers. Once again, the perpetrators were mostly urban youths.
The city shut down all beaches and closed most businesses near the beaches as NBPD, Orange County Sheriff’s deputies, and mutual aid from nearby agencies cleared the Balboa Peninsula with riot gear, horses, and less-lethal rounds.
