There were three special elections and one important ballot measure vote held last night. Here are the results.
Starting in Florida with the election in Congressional district one – Matt Gaetz old seat. Trump backed Republican Jimmy Patronis, the sitting FLorida CFO, faced off against Democrat Gay Valimont. Patronis won handily, getting nearly 57% of the vote.

Patronis underperformed Gaetz by 9 points and Trump by 11. Whether this is because of the usual off year/special election disinterest, the amount of money dropped on Valmont – the Valmont campaign outraised Patronis by a 3 to 1 margin – or a dislike of Patronis is hard to say.
In Florida 6, Repub Randy Fine – a sitting state senator – faced off against Democrat opponent, Josh Weil. Fine won 56-42.

Fine, like Patronis, underperformed compared to the November elections. Trump won the district with 64.5% and Waltz with 66.5. The same questions about the results apply here, with one caveat; Fine has been credibly accused of being a RINO.
In Wisconsin, a special election was held for a State Supreme court justice. This pitted Musk and Trump backed Brad Shimel against Dem Susan Crawford. Crawford won 55-45%.
This race was the most expensive court race in US History with around $100 million spent. This R loss means the Wisconsin Supreme court will continue to lean left for the foreseable future.
It was not all bad news out of the Badger state however. Ballot question 1 passed by an overwhelming – 62.8 to 37.2% – margin. Question one amended the Wisconsin constitution permanently enshrining the state’s 2011 law requiring voters to provide photo identification in order to vote. This is a big step in securing elections in Wisconsin.
Back a few days ago, just before Milton hit Florida, some pussbag tied a dog to a fence alongside a highway. Florida Highway Patrol found the dog and rescued it from certain death.
The dog, who appears to be a bull terrier, was taken to a vet, given a checkup and transferred to the Leon County Humane Society. He has been given a new name, Trooper.
The internet did its thing and now the scumbag who abandoned the dog has been identified. During a press conference, FL governor Ron DeSantis announced the person has been taken into custody by the FHP and charged with felony animal cruelty.
According to WTSP in Tampa, Trooper is currently being fostered in the Tallahassee area. He is not currently up for adoption but the Leon county Humane Society said it will give updates when Trooper’s status changes.

According to the National hurricane center, Helene will be a major hurricane when it makes landfall Thursday evening. As of right now, it’s most likely landfall will be in the Big Bend area between Apalachicola and Cedar Key.
There are storm surge warnings up for the entire Florida Gulf coast. Tropical storm force winds are expected from the Alabama-Florida line around the entire state of Florida up the east coast as far as South Carolina.
The Metro Atlanta area may see hurricane force winds and the entirety of south Georgia is in the crosshairs. So are parts of eastern Alabama.
Parts of Tennessee and Kentucky are in for heavy rains, with early estimates being in the 6-8″ range.

The IDF pulled off an audacious raid yesterday. 10 members of YAMAM, the Israeli police CT unit, infiltrated a hospital in Jenin in the West Bank and took out 3 Hamas terrorists. The operators dressed in scrubs in order to get to Mohammad Jalamna and two others. Jalamna was responsible for communications with Hamas leadership and coordinating weapons deliveries. Jalamna was using the Jenin hospital as a secret base of operations as he was planning an infiltration attack akin to and inspired by the October 7 massacre.
The Feds finally got around to releasing the December numbers for Illegal border crossings and the total will shock you. There were more than 302,000 ‘encounters’ at the southern border. That’s 50,000 more than the prior month and sets an all time record. Fiscal year to date, there have been more than 785,000 encounters at the southern border.
Nationwide encounters set a new record in December as well, topping 371,000 last month. That’s 15,000 more people than live in Cleveland, and 64,000 more than live in Cincinnati, all coming to the United States illegally in just one month.
I put scare quotes around encounters as it’s a term of art that was coined by the Biden Administration. It’s defined as the total number of aliens apprehended by Border Patrol after entering illegally plus inadmissible aliens stopped by CBP officers in the agency’s Office of Field Operations (OFO) at the ports of entry.
To say these numbers are unsustainable is a massive understatement. The lies and gas-lighting about the border coming from this administration has reached a fever pitch. Everyone involved needs to be impeached and removed.

Evacuation Transportation Issue – Citgo Fuel Depot in Port of Tampa Accidentally Shipped Diesel Fuel as Unleaded Gasoline to Stations in Tampa, Sarasota, Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Daytona and More
The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) released an urgent consumer notification that Citgo fuel services from the Port of Tampa accidentally mixed Diesel Fuel into gasoline tanker trucks that offloaded product at gas pumps in Tampa, Fort Myers, Cape Coral and other areas. Customers who purchased Citgo gas at the affected areas after August 26th are at risk. Those fuel stations pumped diesel instead of unleaded gasoline.
(AP) – […] The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services said late Sunday that gasoline purchased after 10 a.m. Saturday at some Citgo-supplied stations had a strong likelihood of being contaminated with diesel fuel. Citgo identified 29 affected stations — sold at chains like 7-Eleven, BJ’s Wholesale and other convenience stores — in cities including Tampa, Fort Myers, Sarasota and more.
(FDACS) – […] PLEASE NOTE: Under state and federal law, FDACS must rely upon CITGO to provide the list of impacted gas stations. Consumers should be aware that the company may update this list. FDACS will also update this list as necessary as of result of increased fuel testing in the impacted areas.
Contaminated gasoline and diesel have the potential of causing engine damage or affecting operability. Impacted stations have been asked to stop selling gas until the contaminated fuel is replaced and tanks are cleaned. Once the stations are cleared or have completed a corrective action plan fuel will once again be safe for purchase.
If you purchased gas from affected stations after 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 26, the Florida Department of Agriculture of Consumer services advises consumers that vehicles or generators may not properly function.
FDACS has opened up the consumer hotline to receive complaints from impacted consumers. If you believe you were sold contaminated gasoline, you can file a complaint by calling 1-800-HELP-FLA online at www.fdacs.gov.
FDACS is coordinating with the Division of Emergency Management (FDEM). FDEM is coordinating with petroleum retailers, ports and all additional stakeholders to ensure that this disruption won’t be widespread and that residents can have seamless access to fuel. At the direction of the Governor, FDEM has already waived size, weight, and hour restrictions to get resources into the state as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Please be advised that CITGO is working with the locations to remove contaminated product from these locations. Hysterical Media Members Accuse Ron DeSantis of Building His Own ‘Militia’ to Prepare for ‘Civil War’
This now makes two articles today that I have to assure you aren’t satire.
Fresh hysteria is emanating from the left after accusations that Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida is starting his own “militia” circulated this morning. The claim originated from CNN (shocked face) via an article entitled “DeSantis Proposes a New Civilian Military Force in Florida That He Would Control.” It includes a picture of DeSantis partially overlaid on a picture of Donald Trump.
In short, we all know what CNN is insinuating here.
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis wants to reestablish a World War II-era civilian military force that he, not the Pentagon, would control.
DeSantis pitched the idea Thursday as a way to further support the Florida National Guard during emergencies, like hurricanes. The Florida National Guard has also played a vital role during the pandemic in administering Covid-19 tests and distributing vaccines.
But in a nod to the growing tension between Republican states and the Biden administration over the National Guard, DeSantis also said this unit, called the Florida State Guard, would be “not encumbered by the federal government.” He said this force would give him “the flexibility and the ability needed to respond to events in our state in the most effective way possible.” DeSantis is proposing bringing it back with a volunteer force of 200 civilians, and he is seeking $3.5 million from the state legislature in startup costs to train and equip them.
And with that, we were off to the races. MSNBC’s Malcolm Nance took to social media to proclaim this the beginning of “Trump’s Red Army.” That tweet came in response to radio host Dean Obeidallah claiming DeSantis was doing what leaders in Iraq have done and that the Florida governor is preparing “for war.
Mission accomplished for CNN, but buried deep in their article is the actual truth of what DeSantis is wanting to do. If you go down to paragraph 8, you’ll see that not only is this not some civil war militia force, but it’s actually something that New York, California, and 20 other states already have.
If Florida moves ahead with DeSantis’ plan to reestablish the civilian force, it would become the 23rd active state guard in the country, DeSantis’ office said in a press release, joining California, Texas and New York.
“Reestablishing the Florida State Guard will allow civilians from all over the state to be trained in the best emergency response techniques and have the ability to mobilize very, very quickly,” DeSantis said during a visit to Pensacola on Thursday.
So what’s the actual purpose? Mainly to be able to respond quickly respond to civil emergencies like hurricanes and other disasters without being held back by the federal red-tape surrounding the deployment of the National Guard. It also allows a state to have the resources necessary for such events without having to worry about federal vaccine mandates, which have threatened to weaken National Guard units around the country.
No, DeSantis is not preparing to go to war for Donald Trump or any other such nonsense pushed by BlueAnon freaks. Such a suggestion should land a person in a mental institution. Unfortunately, MSNBC sees fit to put these kinds of people on air. They want the hysteria and division that is driven by this, and CNN knew exactly what they were doing with that headline.
And to think that so many, including on the right, clutched their pearls when Donald Trump called these “news” outlets the enemy of the people.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis Announces Lawsuit Against Joe Biden’s Illegal Human Trafficking Operations
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis announced Tuesday that he is triggering a three point plan to confront Joe Biden’s human trafficking operation.
One measure includes a lawsuit against the federal government for illegal human trafficking operations into the state of Florida. A second measure includes an executive order which -in part- allows the Florida Dept of Law Enforcement to impound any aircraft or transportation vehicle that is used by the Biden administration in carrying out their human trafficking of illegal aliens into the state. The final measure is the appointment of Larry Keefe as a public safety czar to “ensure that the actions directed by this executive order, as well as many other things are carried out.”
Gov. Ron DeSantis takes a strong and decisive position to stop the theft of intellectual property by various foreign nations; specifically China, Iran, Cuba, Syria, Russia, North Korea and Venezuela. The State of Florida is in the process of introducing multiple Bills to stop the espionage and exploitation and the theft of American ingenuity; be that at universities, local governments, research institutions or companies. They gave notice to all that the State of Florida will no longer allow foreign entities, business or governments to intimidate, influence or steal their way to a strategic advantage. There were two sides to their position and those businesses, corporations and individuals who call Florida home, must also do their part to insure accountability and safeguard the American innovations.
