IDF Tells Lebanese Where To Find Hezbollah Loot

    IDF Spokesman RADM Daniel Hagari

I’ve been trying to keep y’all up to date with all of the bigger news items out of the Levant since last October 7th. You can read some of my previous reportage here, here, here and here.

Today’s story is somewhat humorous. The IDF has been going after Hezbollah finance centers and ‘banks’ in their latest round of strikes. The aim is to cripple the terrorist group by restricting their ability to pay fighters, buy arms and provide payments to ‘martyrs’. The problem is, much like the Hamass animals to the south, Hezbollah has hidden some of its facilities beneath hospitals and other sensitive civilian infrastructure.

The Israelis have come up with a clever way to deal with the banks though. They made a public announcement detailing the location of millions of dollars.

A couple of weeks ago I wouldn’t have thought anything of this announcement. However, given the scenes coming out of Lebanon over the past week or so, I think there is a really good chance some enterprising Maronite or Druze will become exceedingly rich in the next few days.

What scenes you might ask, and rightfully so. There have been a bunch of videos of the Lebanese Army actually beating up Hezbollah thugs in the streets. I’ve also seen videos of the local police doing so as well. It looks like Hezbollah is currently rudderless and drifting.

  • Another One Bites The Dust

    Another One Bites The Dust

Ever since the October 7th attack last year, the Israelis have picked off Hamass and Hezbollah leadership one by one. News dropped this morning that they got another one.

This time they got Yahya Ibrahim Hassan Sinwar, the Hamas leader in Gaza. Sinwar was the mastermind behind the 10/7 attack and the highest ranking Hamass leader in Gaza.

Early indications point to the action that saw Sinwar’s brain exposed to the atmosphere was not a special operation but rather a routine patrol in the Tal al Sultan area of Gaza, just north of Rafah. It appears the unit that was in contact did not realize they were engaging Sinwar. They spotted a group of terrorists moving between buildings and opened fire.

It’s being reported that a new recruit is the one who actually killed Sinwar. He’ll never pay for a drink again in his life.

Sinwar was tried and convicted of the abduction and killing of two Israeli soldiers and four Palestinians he considered to be collaborators in 1989. He was sentenced to four life sentences by Israel but was released after serving only 22 years as part of a hostage deal that saw IDF trooper Gilad Shalit released. While in prison, Sinwar developed a brain tumor that would have killed him, but Israeli doctors removed it. Proving once again that no good deed goes unpunished.

Hey, I’m gonna get you too, Another one bites the dust

  • It’s Lonely at the Top

    It’s Lonely at the Top

I’m speaking (metaphorically of course) of the top leadership of Hezbollah. As of this writing, nearly all of the senior Hezbollah military leadership has been offed between the pageritis and the on-going airstrikes across Lebanon and parts of Syria.

    https://twitter.com/mdubowitz/status/1838621205513015539

Additionally, Ibrahim Qubaisi, who was in charge of Hezbollah rockets, missiles and drones, was killed in an airstrike in Beirut.

    https://twitter.com/visegrad24/status/1838588196549988640

That leaves General Secretary Hassan Nasrallah, Ali Karaki, the Hezb southern front commander and Ali Abu Rida, the Badr force commander. Nasrallah hasn’t seen the light of day in several years, and will be difficult to target. The IDF leveled Karaki’s home yesterday and there were some reports that he’d been eliminated in the strike. So far there hasn’t been official confirmation though. Rida is, I’m confident, next on the list.

It gets worse for Hezbollah though. You can be 110% sure that Mossad and Shin Bet are looking at all the social media in Lebanon and seeing who got blown up by a pager and tracing their contacts.

  • Who’s Next?

    Who’s Next?

No, I am not talking about the 1971 release from Daltrey, Townsend, Entwistle and Moon.

Instead I’m wondering who’s next on the Israeli hit list.

In the past 24 or so hours the Israelis have eliminated several high level Hamas, Hezbollah and IRGC leaders.

Yesterday, Fu’ad Shukur, AKA Hajj Mohsen, the #2 military commander of Hezbollah and one of the brains behind the 1983 Beirut Barracks bombing, met Allah after the IDF dropped a JDAM on the building he was in. All told the strike killed 3 and injured 60ish more. Oddly, Hezbollah admitted the building belonged to them.

Overnight, top Hamas political leader Ismael Haniyeh was killed while in Tehran to attend the swearing-in of the new Iranian president. It is suspected – read known, but not officially acknowledged – that Israel was behind the strike. This killing has more implications than might be apparent at first blush. Haniyeh had lived in Qatar, the UAE and Saudi Arabia. The fact that Israelis waited to assassinate him when he was in Tehran sends a message to those countries. We could have done it there, but we wanted you to save some face so we waited until he was in Iran. It also makes the Iranians look weak and unable to protect their interests.

    But wait! There’s more!

While it’s still unconfirmed, it’s looking like Amir Ali Hajizadeh, a very senior IRGC general, met his end in Damascus, Syria.

It all feels a little Godfather-esque at this point.

I’m sure Yayha Sinwar is pissing his pants in whatever rat-hole he’s hiding in right now.
