The inflation numbers are out and it’s a mixed bag. The top-line numbers came in under analyst predictions, 2.7% vs 2.8%.
The big driver of the decline is energy. Gas was down 2.2% and total energy costs down 1.1%.
There are some concerning numbers though. Core inflation is up .3% and the service sector is up by .3%.
We’ll see what Fed chair Powell pulls in the September meeting. . .
It seems there is something unseemly going on in Kentucky. Recently a whistleblower came forward with accusations they the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet – the KY version of the DMV – was selling drivers licenses to illegals.
. . . multiple branches across the state, totaling potentially THOUSANDS of invalid licenses. KYTC claims the licenses were issued “in error.” After exposing the scheme, Moorman was fired. The KYTC also denied any public request for documentation, withholding nearly 2,300 records. This needs a full investigation now
If this is true, any-and-everyone involved in it needs to be locked up. And I don’t care of it reaches the Governors mansion in Frankfort.
The IDF killed a Hamas terrorist in Gaza yesterday. Big deal right? Well some have tried to make this particular one into a big deal. The reason? Anas Al -Sharif – the good terrorist – supposedly worked for Al Jazeera – the Muslim Brotherhood propaganda outlet based in Qatar.
