The little stunt/hissy fit that Texas state Dems pulled over the redistricting there not only did not work, it had some unpleasant consequences. Because they all had active arrest warrants for running away, those who showed up at the Texas Capitol were required to have a TXDPS trooper accompany them if they left the chamber. One dem legislator, Nicole Collier, refused and was locked in the chamber.
Governor Abbott called the 2nd special session and the redistricting is moving into committee today. A floor vote could come as early as Wednesday. AG Ken Paxton’s office is still looking into vacating the seats of those who ran to break quorum.
This one is funny – give it a watch:
Let’s take a sec and break this down. First, don’t run from the cops. Second, if you are gonna run from the cops, wear clothing – specifically trousers or shorts – that fit. Third, If you’re gonna jump in the water to get away from the cops, be sure you can swim. If I were one of those cops, I’m probably letting him drown.
Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey is stepping down from that position. Not for any nefarious reason. He is joining Kash Patel at the FBI as Deputy Director.
Bailey did yeoman’s work as Missouri AG. He was consistently on the front lines, promoting conservative values. I wish him the best of luck at the FBI.
I was on the fence about including this one. I don’t have any idea of who this person is, where they work or what their political beliefs are. Well, that last one isn’t strictly true, only a leftist loon could come up with come up with a take this retarded:
The replies are awesome on this one, so if you have the Xitter, I highly recommend you check them out. Needless to say, the telephone and the vast majority of the original switching tech was invented here in the US by Americans. Also, the +1 code applies to Canada (probably because Alex Bell was part Canuck) and most of the Caribbean and Eastern Atlantic Islands.
Anyway, retards gonna retard. . .
This one is fun. SecDef Hegseth teamed up with HHS Secretary RFK Jr for what they are calling the Pete and Bobby challenge. 100 pushups, 50 pullups in less than 10 minutes. The moto video is kinda cool:
Your editor will do the challenge as part of tomorrow’s workout and let you know how he did. I challenge you to give it a try. Let me know how you fared. An
I will note that both Pete and Bobby were cheating on their pushups. Let me know if you spot how.
At the risk of sounding like a broken record here’s another update on Hurricane Erin. The storm has weakened some to a category 2 hurricane but it is forecast to grow and strengthen in the next day. The national hurricane service has issued tropical storm, storm surge and rip current warnings for the Outer Banks and parts of the Virginia Capes.

Mandatory evac orders have been issued for the Outer Banks. Hyde County declared a local state of emergency for Ocracoke Island.
Hurricane-force winds extend outward up to 80 miles from Erin’s center, and tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 205 miles.
