Random News and Notes 10 March

There is some interesting news coming out of NYC regarding the two goat-f*ckers that threw IEDs at that retard Jake Lang and his merry band of asshats. I have avoided this story like the Clap because frankly if those bombs had gone off and killed Lang, it would have been no great loss.

Anyway, Emir Balat, 18, and Ibrahim Kayumi, 19, from Bucks County, now face federal charges including providing material support to terrorists and using a weapon of mass destruction after throwing the homemade bombs. Balat reportedly said he wanted to do an attack bigger than the Boston Marathon bombing after viewing ISIS videos.

There were a couple of good guys in the whole episode. The NYPD acted magnificently, particularly Chief Aaron Edwards, who vaulted a barrier to apprehend one of the bomb throwers.

And there was more proof that you don’t hate the media enough. CNN posted – and later deleted – this banger:

Why did their lives drastically change? F*cking retards.

Elections have consequences as Virginians are finding out. Most recently, a bill banning ‘assault weapons’ and ‘high capacity magazines’ has passed both houses of the VA legislature and is now headed to the Governors desk where former spook Abigail Spanberger is sure to sign it. The bill was written and sponsored by a bangladeshi immigrant, Saddam Azlan Salim.

The bill bans the sale, import, manufacture, or transfer of certain semi-automatic rifles, pistols, and shotguns—along with magazines holding more than 15 rounds—starting July 1, 2026. Existing owners can keep their firearms but face limits on transfers.

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission issued its first construction permit ever for a commercial non-light-water reactor to TerraPower’s 345-megawatt Natrium plant in Kemmerer, Wyoming, on March 9.

This sodium-cooled fast reactor pairs with molten salt storage to boost output to 500 megawatts during peak times. TerraPower broke ground last year and aims for operations around 2030.

Epic Fury News

CENTCOM released some graphics describing what they accomplished in the first 10 days of Epic Fury. The graphics include an overview of the op, the assets used and the types of targets struck.

President Trump issued a warning to Iran about stopping the flow of oil through the Straits of Hormuz.

Commercial shipping has halted in the strait, prompting Gulf nations to slash 6.7 million barrels per day of output and sending oil prices surging to $88-$90 a barrel.

Tankers stopped mostly because Lloyds of London cancelled insurance contracts. President Trump ordered the issuance of US backed re-insurance (maritime insurance is exceedingly complex and your editor only has a fleeting grasp of it) to cover for the Lloyds cancellations. Most shipping has stopped though several VLCCs have made the transit in recent days.
